James Stephen "Archie" Russell's Obituary
James Stephen “Archie” Russell, 59, passed away November 30, 2017. He was born December 8, 1957 in Tupelo, MS to Martha Jean Mounce and John Lamon Russell, Sr. He retired from Trico Trucking and Longistics. He loved blues music and had his own online blues radio channel, Borderline Blues. He played and enjoyed basketball; he was an avid fan of Ole Miss Football, Memphis Tigers Basketball, and the Memphis Grizzlies. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna K. Russell; brother, Don Meador (Mona); sister, Linda Kirkland (Steve); sister-in-law, Bobbie Russell; nephews, Christopher Russell and Joseph Russell; and niece, Heather Chandler. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Lamon Russell, Jr. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, December 3 and funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, December 4 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
