James "Jamie" Allen Morris' Obituary
Jamie Morris, age 22, born December 3, 1986 went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2009 after a courageous 13 year battle with osteosarcoma in the presence of his loving Wife, Mother, Step Father and Uncle Alan McDougal.Jamie lived every moment to the fullest of his ability, celebrating each day as a gift from God. Jamie will be especially remembered for his athletic abilities, love of the outdoors, quick wit, unwavering faith, and his tenaciousness sense of humor.He leaves his wife, Jennifer (Nunn) Morris, of Benton, Arkansas, his devoted Mother and Step Father, Susan (McDougal) and Charles Turley of Benton, Arkansas, his Father, Mark Morris of Crystal Springs, Arkansas, his maternal grandmother, Lee Heath, his paternal grandmother, Gayle Kidder, his Step Sisters, Amanda and Courtney Turley, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.A memorial service will be held at Tenmile Missionary Baptist Church, Lonsdale, Arkansas at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 31, 2009. Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Tenmile Missionary Baptist Church.Jamie had such a love, respect, and appreciation for the hospital and staff of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It is his hope that a cure for this disease will be found.Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Habitat for Hope, 2041 Locke-Cuba Road, Millington, TN 38053.
