Jae Hean Koh's Obituary
Jae Hean Koh (76) passed away peacefully at 1225 am June 12th at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, TN. Jae was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 8, 1944 and moved to West Memphis, AR in 1974. Together with her husband of over 50 years, Jae lived the American dream through hard work, determination, and perseverance by owning several successful businesses. Jae loved to travel, spend time with her friends, play the slot machines, and most of all, she loved her family. She adored her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil any chance she had. Jae was always the life of the party and spent her life making all of her family and friends laugh and smile.
She leaves behind her loving husband , Henry, two children, Chan Koh and Sandra Miller, both of Memphis, TN, and three grandchildren Henry Ovid, Theodore Christian, and Gabrielle Grace, sisters, Yong Ja Lee (Soo Wan) of West Memphis, AR and Yong Ae Nichols (Gary) of Marion, AR, two brothers Chong Ha (Hee Sook) of Houston, TX and Phillip Ha of Seattle, WA, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to a cancer foundation of their choice.
The family would also like to thank Methodist Hospice Residence and all of the friends and family who have provided such unbounded support during this difficult time.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 15 from 5:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue in Memphis.
