As a former officer with Union Planters Bank, my fondest memory comes after I left the bank to enter seminary. It is of the great work he did in leading my old bank into better days after having gone through some very turbulent times.

Jack was a delightful member of the Sea Island community and brought joy to many. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of family and accomplishment and will be missed. We admired his perseverance despite his health issues, including occasional forays onto the golf course with Betty.

I fondly recall asking my law firm's managing partner if I could speak to Jack about joining our firm. His acceptance began years of working and playing together, creating lasting memories. He was a brilliant guy; but, more importantly, a "good guy" in so many ways. I regret not seeing more of him in recent years, my having moved from Memphis in retirement. I know Betty, his children, and grandchildren will miss Jack, as will his extended family and friends.

Jack Moore was a long-time friend of my father and eventually a friend of mine. He was always so kind to me and gracious with his time as is Betty. The greatest comment I can pay is to say that surely he will see the Lord's face and hear, "...Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will see thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord"
