Jack Wright's Obituary
Mr. Wright was 89 years old. He served in WWII and was a lifelong salesman. He was a Territory Manager for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. early in his career. He then became a Regional Sales Manager for Moto Mower Lawn Company of which he left to establish his own business; Wright Sales Company which handled heavy duty lawn equipment throughout the southeast and Texas. Mr. Wright was a member of the ‘Old Guard’ which is an honorary professional sales organization with the hardware industry.He was an avid sportsman who loved Trapshooting. He was named Mr. Trapshooter of Tennessee who later founded the Tennessee Trapshooting Hall of Fame of which he was inducted in 2000. His skills won him many championships and the ability to coach people in the art which resulted in more people entering the sport.He was a lifetime member of the American Trapshooting Association (ATA) and the National Rifle Association (NRA). He was also a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church.Mr. Wright is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha; two brothers; John Wright of Lawrenceburg, TN and Dr. W.J. Wright of Earle, AR; two daughters, Jackie Fowlkes and her husband Jimmy of Collierville, TN; Jane Alcaraz of Jonesboro, AR.; two grandsons; Scott Maddox of Asheville, NC, Clay Maddox of Nashville, TN and one great-grandson, Cooper Maddox of Nashville, TN.
