Rosemary, We are so sorry for your loss. Greg and Debbie Cotton
My husband and I met Catherine and Mozelle at NCM. My John, was always teasing and kidding them both. Mozelle told me “Dee you have a good man there. If you ever get tired of him I’ll take him”- which Catherine quickly responded “Oh No you don’t- I want him.” All of the older ladies just loved him and he felt the same about them. One of their highlights on Sunday was seeing John (he’s passed away now). He always helped them into the doors and sanctuary and catered to them. The 3 of them were a mess. He called them the little munchkins and they got the biggest kick out of that and he would say “Follow the yellow brick road.” I sat right in front of both of them every Sunday and they were always telling me how much they loved John and I- and I was a lucky woman to have him as my husband-which I already knew. Some of the things they came out with just slayed me. Such a loving and funny pair of sisters and so devoted to each other. I visited and talked with Mozelle often. I’ve posted a tribute to Mozelle on the NCM FB page and also on MY FB page – DeNorris Avent. My heart is broken and I’m going to miss her so. Last time I visited her she was so sad that Catherine didn’t even know her. I know your entire family has lost a true matriarch. My sympathy and love go out to all of you. You were very blessed to have had her all these years. Heaven will never be the same with her and John together now (LOL) Heaven certainly got a precious angel when she arrived in heaven. Prayers to all of her family.DeNorris Avent
