Iska Duke's Obituary
Iska Taylor Duke, 97, died peacefully at Trezevant Manor on April 2, 2013. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service begins at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5 at Independent Presbyterian Church. The oldest daughter of Dr. Neumon and Attie Belle Horne, she lived her entire life in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Marion Duke, Attorney. Iska grew up and was married at Idlewild Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church for the last 48 years of her life. For fifteen years, she drove for MIFA, and she was a member of PEO for fifty-two years. She graduated from Brenau University in Georgia, where she loved drama and horses. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Orner (Kent, deceased) of Florida and Dale Crenshaw (Dr. Randy) of Virginia; a sister, Bernadine Goshorn of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Meggan Derey (Walter) of Virginia and Laurel Marr (Corbin) of NY; and five great grandchildren, Savannah, Brooks, and Carson Derey, and Hannah and Samuel Marr.
