Irene Severino's Obituary
Irene “Ikiey” Severino, 92, passed away August 31, 2014 at Kirby Pines. A former resident of Cicero, IL, she and her husband moved to Memphis in 1987 where they were communicants at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Thomas A. Severino; daughter, Grace Ann DiScenza; grandson, David DiScenza, her parents, Joseph and Margaret Golonka, and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Thomas Severino (Margaret); son-in-law, Timothy DiScenza (Lisa); sister-in-law, Lillian Golonka (Chester); grandsons, Timothy DiScenza Jr., Anthony Severino, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Severino; great-grandchildren, Antonia, Selina, Nicole, Brooke, and Brandon (Christina) Severino; great-great-grandson, Dominic; and her special friend, 5 year old Abby Rice. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 5 and Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 6 at Catholic Church of the Resurrection. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to Catholic Church of the Resurrection, 5475 Newberry, Memphis TN 38115.
