Irene Manus' Obituary
Irene Mary Manus was born on November 3,1933 in Presque Isle Maine to her parents Addis and Florence Dufour.
She graduated from South Portland High School in 1952.
Irene was married in South Portland to Harold Manus on January 30th, 1954, and moved to Memphis shortly thereafter.
She was a lifelong “old school” bookkeeper as well as a gifted artist. Her jewelry was handmade and stunning in its originality.
Her 50+ year run of cooking epic Thanksgiving dinners for her extended family is still fondly remembered.
She leaves behind her children Donna Golightly (Jeff), Michael Manus (Maureen) and Larry Manus (Patricia) as well as 4 grandchildren Dustin Golightly (deceased), Tracy Golightly Sammons, Brandie Parks and Amanda Parks and 8 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her brothers, Art, David, Donald and Richard. She is survived by her brothers Robert and Roy.
As the family Matriarch she is truly missed.
The celebration of life will be held November 6, 2025, at Memorial Park funeral home. 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119. Visitation 10:00am-11:00am. Service is 11:00am with internment to follow at Memorial Park South Woods.
