Irene Lewis' Obituary
Irene Langston Lewis passed away peacefully on March 30, 2009.Irene was an avid duplicate bridge player, having achieved the status of Life Master. She took great pleasure on growing gardens and creating beautiful needlework, but her greatest pleasure in life was doting on her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Wyatt Lewis, a brother Harvey Langston and grandson, Blake Reese.She is survived by her daughters; Marianne Johnston, Nancy Thompson and her husband Jesse; her sisters, Louise Winfree, Flora O’Bryant, Glenda Armagost; grandchildren, Angela Segars, Justin Reese as well as two great-granddaughters and many wonderful friends.Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, April 3, 2009. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 pm, April 4, 2009. All services being held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.The family requests memorials to be made to MIFA or charity of choice.
