Alan loved his upbringing in Clarksdale as did I. He always enjoyed sharing stories of high school and our hometown. I will miss sharing those tales with him as well as flying and fishing with him. His friendship will be greatly missed.

He took the time to show me how to tie my shoes. No joke Alan taught me how. His mom and Dad were the sweetest people you would ever want to know. They also were avid Purple Martin custodians who always had a Martin's Hotel Bird house in their back yard. Alan was very interested in aviation at a very young age. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing he was a gentle soul who was loved by many.
