Horace Burford's Obituary
Horace Lynn Burford, 80, passed away July 19, 2012 at his home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. Monday, July 23 and the funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow at West Tennessee Veteran Cemetery. Mr. Burford was a member of Olive Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Memphis Amateur Sports Hall of Fame. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and for many years he enjoyed his time as a football and basketball official. Mr. Burford is survived by his wife, Carolyn Burford; daughter, Donna Buckley (Buck); sons, Glen Burford and Joe Burford (Tracye); sisters, Carolyn Chester and Janice Kennedy (Ralph); brother, Don Burford (Joyce); and grandchildren, Daniel, Chandler, Spence, Tori, and Chelsea.
