Hilda G. Sunda's Obituary
Hilda G. Sunda, 88, passed away on August 3, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Hilda was born in Clearwater, FL on July 24, 1930.Hilda was orphaned and later moved to Toccoa Falls, GA. Where she attended school at Toccoa Falls Institute where she met her husband, William Sunda where he was attending Seminary College. She loved sports and was an avid basketball player. She was known as Hilda Guard to all that played with her, due to her basketball abilities. She was multi athletic with basketball being her favorite of the sports where she helped the team lead a Regional Basketball title.Hilda was preceded by her husband, William Sunda, daughter, Rebecca Sunda who left this world early at the age of two, daughter, Martha Lynn Sunda Lee (John).She is survived by her daughter, Beth Niethamer (Jack), Debi Hodges (Jim) and son, William Russell Sunda Jr., grandchildren, Tiffany Williams (Clayton), William Russell Sunda III (Kelly), Zachary Drew Sunda, Brett Niethamer, McKenzie Nicole Sunda and Spencer Sunda, James Hodges Jr., Wendy Hodges Croom, great- grandchildren, Luke Pruett, Kyler Sunda, Harper Elizabeth Sunda, Martha Miller Williams, Bryan Curl and Chole Curl, Barrett and Hudson Williams along with many nieces and nephews.She dearly loved all of her children and family.A Memorial Service will be held at Ridgeway Baptist Church on Saturday, August 18 at 1:00 p.m.In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials be made to The American Alzheimer’s Association.
