Hilda Henry's Obituary
Hilda Elizabeth Henry, 96 of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, at the Methodist University Hospital. She was born in Hazelhurst, Mississippi on July 23, 1928, to Lizzie and Essie, Jones Sr. who preceded her in death. Three brothers preceded her in death, Essie Jones, Jr, Clyde Jones, and Charleston Jones.
Hilda attended Piney Woods School in Hazelhurst, Mississippi where she obtained her High School Diploma. Hilda worked for the Memphis City School System for many years where she retired.
Hilda leaves to cherish her precious memories, seven children: LaDean Stewart, Yonal Decarol Pattion, Modearer Henry, Fanshun Nsiegbe, Israel Henry, Lamar Shores, and Robert Steven Shores all of Memphis, Tennessee, one sister, Thelma Eason of Vidalia, Louisiana, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She also leaves four special friends Carnell Peyton, Derrick Mims, Clifton White and Lincoln Willis.
Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery

Visitation: Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5-7 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery
