Herbert Edward Peek's Obituary
Herbert Edward Peek, Jr. 86, passed away September 8, 2013. Herbert was born February 2, 1927 in Humboldt, TN to Herbert Edward Peek, Sr. and Ruby Graves Peek, who precede him in death. Mr. Peek leaves his loving wife of 63 years, Marie Ehren Peek, and daughters Karen Reagor, Susan Ferguson and her husband David, and Paula Medlin and her husband Greg; sons Donald Herbert Peek and his wife Nancy, and Douglas Edward Peek and his wife Amy; and sister, Ann Woodard. His 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren will deeply miss their Pap-Paw. Herbert was a graduate of The University of the Ozarks, where he earned his degree in pharmacy while lettering in both football and basketball. He proudly served with the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Peek and his business partner, Tom Guthrie, owned and operated White Station Pharmacy #1 on Poplar Avenue and White Station Pharmacy #2 on Park. Herbert and Marie are members of Balmoral Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, and are former members of Eudora Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on October 12 at Balmoral Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations in memory of Herbert E.
