Henry A. Booth Jr.'s Obituary
Captain Henry A. Booth, Jr., age 87, of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born on May 25, 1938, in Wilmington, Delaware, Henry was the beloved son of the late Henry A. Booth, Sr. and Florence Swallow Booth. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Booth, and his sister, Mary Kelley. An All American in high school, fitting of the honor, Henry proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Following his military service, he pursued a successful career as a homebuilder in the greater Memphis area and later started a successful property management company spanning two states, leaving a lasting impact on the communities he served.
He is survived by his three devoted sons: Henry Booth III of Lakeland, Tennessee; Glen Booth of Cordova, Tennessee; and Chris Booth of Bartlett, Tennessee. Henry was a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren, Brittany (Colt) Boyd, Justin Booth, Camryn (Aubry) Clayton, Alec Booth, and Ryan Booth.
A service to honor and celebrate Henry's life will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Anglican Church in Cordova, Tennessee. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Henry will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and his contributions to his community. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him
