Hellen Osborne's Obituary
Hellen Osborne, 80, of Memphis, TN passed away on August 3, 2020 due to COVID 19. Hellen was born June 8, 1940 in Cullman, AL. She was the daughter of Elmer and Louise Nicolas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bobby Osborne. She is survived by her daughter, Catrina Schifani (Paul) and her son, Vincent Osborne. She had four grandchildren, Stephen Schifani, Stacie Wray (Jesse), Nicole Wills (Patrick), and Caroline Schifani. She also had three great grandchildren, Blair Wills, Jack Wray, and Brooke Wills. Her family was her pride and joy and she was always her happiest when she was with them. She had a tight group of close friends that were also her family. Hellen obtained her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse in 1982 when she graduated from Methodist School of Nursing. Most of her 38-year nursing career was with Methodist Hospitals as a RN Case Manager. She was still working one day a week until March of this year. Hellen was a talented seamstress, enjoyed traveling, reading, animals, and art. She is remembered as the person who was always smiling, trying to make sure everyone was included, and wanted to enjoy life. She was a member of the Journey’s Group and The Listener’s Book Club. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Memphis Humane Society in her memory would be appreciated. Family will receive guests on Thursday, August 6th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery on Poplar Ave. Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
