Helen Schnoor Georgi's Obituary
Helen Schnoor Georgi, 102, died in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024.
She was born on August 6, 1921 in Perry, Iowa to the late Fred Schnoor and Jessie Hall Schnoor.
She is survived by daughter Lisa McAfee of Christiana, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen graduated from Central Methodist University, Fayette, MO, and began a teaching career at Riverview Gardens High School, St. Louis, MO. She moved to Memphis after marrying Charles Georgi. There she taught at Lausanne Collegiate School and worked as an area admissions counselor for William Woods University, Fulton, MO. Helen was also active in the Germantown Presbyterian Church, the Memphis Yacht Club, and the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery.
She will be buried beside her husband at Memorial Park following a graveside service at 3:00 pm Saturday with visitation at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society as Helen was a three-time survivor.
