Helen Jeanette Crain's Obituary
Helen Jeanette Green Crain went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 28, 2019.Helen, daughter of Thomas William and Nell Woodruff Green, was born June 11, 1929, in Memphis, TN. Her family owned and operated Highland Heights Cleaners. She graduated from Treadwell High School and attended business college. Helen married James Edward Crain in 1950, he predeceased her in 2013. Helen worked at WMC but mostly Helen was a homemaker and raised 4 children. Helen was a devoted Christian that made sure she raised her family in church. Helen and family attended Central Church. Helen attended Community Bible Study at Second Presbyterian Church for years until her health declined. Her faith was her strength. She trusted in the Lord all the days of her life. She dwells in the House of the Lord now and leaves a legacy of faith and hope to her family. Helen leaves her children, Deborah Ann Dixon (Ken), James Edward Crain Jr, Mark Steven Crain (Kim) and Cheryl Lynn Clark (Robert) as well as her grandchildren, Ken Dixon Jr (Gina), Lezley Bailey (Aaron), Laura Collins (David), Trisha Clark, Ty Young, Amber Thomas & Dylan Jones and great grandchildren, Andrew Dixon, Taylor Waddell, Addison Bailey, Luke Bailey, Ella Grace Collins, Kate Collins, Mason Young, Harland Thomas & Miles Thomas. Helen also leaves her siblings, Martha Sue Leonard, Robert Malcomb Green and James Donald Green. A service in her honor will be held Friday, August 2nd at 1:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, TN.
