Helen Louise Climer's Obituary
Helen Louise Climer, 69, passed away at her residence in Horn Lake, MS home on January 18, 2021. She was a successful Long Term Care Consultant in Texas, owning her consulting firm for almost 20 years. She joined her family in Mississippi upon retirement, and enjoyed living in a cabin on the lake before moving to Horn Lake. Many knew her as “Caney” during her teen years as a prominent and talented singer in Memphis and New Orleans. She was a proud 1969 graduate of Treadwell High School. Music and animals were always her passion.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jerry Climer, and her parents Paul Jackson Pannell, Sr. and Tincie Mae Isbell Pannell, and a brother Leonard Samuel Pannell. She is survived by her children Keesha Medley (Kyle) of Walls, MS, Jason Climer (Sheila) of Hernando, MS, and Christopher Climer (Rita) of Anaheim, California. Also surviving are two brothers Paul Pannell, Jr. of Pope, MS and Jimmy Pannell (Roni) of Colorado Springs, CO and two sisters Wanda Jean Blackwell of Covington, GA and Ruby Nell Isbell (Donald) of Memphis, TN. Also surviving are four grandchildren Kayla, Danielle, Reece, and Brodie and one great grandchild, Landon, along with a beloved cat Minnie.
A celebration of her life will be held at 9am on Wednesday, January 27, with graveside service at 10am. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Louise would have appreciated donations be made to the Horn Lake Animal Shelter.
