Harvey V. Stauber, Jr., 63, of Memphis died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Methodist University Hospital.Mr. Stauber was born to Harvey V. and Christine Harrell Stauber on September 21, 1945. Mr. Stauber was a graduate of White Station High School and attended Mississippi State University on a track scholarship and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He was graduated from Shelby State Community College with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Vietnam War Army Veteran serving as a helicopter gunner. He retired from Ashland Corp in 2001 after 30 years.He is survived by two children, John V. Stauber of Raleigh, NC, and Deborah S. Kessler of Wasilla, Alaska, and their mother Betty H. Stauber, two grandchildren, Alex Kessler and Annie Kessler, two sisters, Anne (Frank) Holmes and Lane S. Driscoll, one niece, Catherine H. McKnight, and three nephews, Kenneth C. Holmes, Andrew F. Holmes, and Larry M. Heathcott, Jr.Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Visitation will be at the church Monday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.Lasting memorials may be sent to Wounded Warriors Operation First Response 20037 Dove Hill Rd.
