Harvey Mitchell's Obituary
Harvey Anthony Mitchell, 91, passed away March 12, 2015. He was born October 20, 1923 in Memphis, TN to Annie Agnew and John Mitchell. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a naval aviator. He was a former loan officer with Union Planters Bank and later a manager at Chicago Title and Insurance Company. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Quinley Mitchell; daughter, Jeanne Cross (Buddy); step-son, Terry Quinley (Sherri); grandchildren, Boyd and Kayla Quinley, Kelly Bunch (Brent), and Wendy Mitchell; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, and son, Chip Mitchell. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 16 and funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 17 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
