Harvey M. Kellogg's Obituary
Harvey M. Kellogg, 86, formerly of Memphis, passed away October 10, 2010 in Pensacola, FL. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 16 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17 at Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born on November 5, 1923 in Cambridge Springs, PA. He served in WWII as a Navy pilot and was honored for making the 1100th landing aboard the U.S.S. Saipan. In 1970 he became a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Banking. He was also a Certified Commercial Lender. In later life his body was limited by Parkinson’s Disease, but it never affected his twinkling eyes, dry wit, ability to ‘turn’ a phrase or his sweet disposition. His last few years he enjoyed life on the bay in Pensacola, FL watching the pelicans & his beloved “catty-kit” with occasional outings to dinner. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Clelah; his daughters Linda Barnes of Memphis; Kathryn Sawyer of Searcy, AR; his step-daughter Lynn Hickman of Pensacola; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
