Harry "Buddy" Max Plunk Jr.'s Obituary
Harry (Buddy) Max Plunk Jr. passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022. Buddy was born on June 28, 1962 in Portsmouth, Virginia, to Harry and Sandra Plunk. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Plunk; children David Plunk (Lisa Carter), Steven Plunk (Ashley), Listey Ledbetter (Scott), and Rachel Filla; grandchildren Britney Kight, Bryson Carr, Landon Plunk, Avery Carter-Plunk, and Kayla Plunk; Sister Kathy Morgan (James); as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
Buddy retired from the Shelby County Register’s Office after 38 years of service. He also started his own business, Property Research Data, going strong for over 30 years. He was a faithful member of St. William Catholic Church in Millington, TN.
Buddy was a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a devoted family man. He loved to talk about movies and the latest TV shows, but his all-time favorite is the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Reds! He made an impression and life-long friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed bowling, watching sports, traveling, spending time with family, and spoiling his fur baby, Lucy. Buddy was brilliant, funny, kind, loving, generous, and the epitome of selflessness when someone was in need.
A memorial service is planned for Monday, January 2, 2023 at 10:00AM Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 9:00am until the service hour.
