Harry Lincoln Brown's Obituary
Harry Lincoln Brown died of congestive heart failure at the age of 87 at his home surrounded by his family on Dec 6th. Harry was born in Otsego, Michigan, and graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and the Navy. Harry met Pat McGrath in Chicago; they married, had three children, and moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where he sold automotive parts. With a fourth child, the family moved to Memphis to handle a larger territory with his own company, New South Sales. Before his illness, Harry was at the Jewish Community Center six days a week, where he enjoyed the exercise and the activity with his many friends. Also, he and Pat audited classes at the University of Memphis. Harry and Pat travelled frequently to such locations as Costa Rica, Ireland, and Key West and spent many family vacations in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Harry leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Pat; his son, Jeff Brown of Cordova, TN; Camille Bricken of Cheshire, CT; and Kelley Walker of Olive Branch, MS. Harry has 3 beloved grandchildren – Brianna and Samantha Bricken and Zoie Brown. Harry’s wishes to donate his body to the University of Tennessee Memphis Anatomical Bequest Program were carried out. Friends and family will be welcomed at the Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 4 pm., Sunday, Dec 12th. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
