Harry G. Ballo's Obituary
Harry G. Ballo passed away at home on Wednesday, September 30, 2009. He was born May 16, 1923 on a rice farm and attended school in Hazen, Arkansas near Stuttgart.He served in the 164th Infantry Army Pacific Theater during WWII and received a Purple Heart upon discharge. He worked at J.J. Austin, Chuck Hutton Chevrolet, Bluff City Buick and retired from Gwatney Chevrolet.He was preceded in death by his father, George Ball, mother, Elizabeth Shimek Ballo and brother, Frank Ballo.He leaves his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Ballo, and three daughters; Leigh Ann Parker (Brad), Amy Hinkle (Andrew) and Beth Bright (Jeremy), all of Bartlett, TN. He also leaves four grandchildren; Lindsey Parker and Lucas, Matthew and Nathan Hinkle, two sisters; Ethel Whitten and Betty Bendall and six nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Julie, Reggie and Rick from West Tennessee Home Health and Curtis Jones and Vicki from Crossroads Hospice.Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services immediately following.
