Harry Dean Baird, Jr. – Age 86, of Memphis, Tennessee, on April 6, 2009.He graduated from Central High School and Memphis State University, and served in World War II as a P-51 pilot in the United States Army Air Force. He was retired President of the Charles E. Heckle Company, a member of Second Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon, elder, and Clerk of Session, and a beloved volunteer at the Dixon Gallery and Gardens.He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Youngblood Baird, two sons, Randel D. Baird of Charleston, S.C., and John M. Baird (Louise) of Nashville, TN, and two grandsons, Jonathan Y. Baird of Los Angeles, CA, and Martin A. Baird, currently of Melbourne, AU.Visitation will be held from 10-11 am, Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Second Presbyterian Church with service to follow at 11am in the chapel.The family asks that any memorials sent to Second Presbyterian Church; http://www.2pc.org/ or Dixon Gallery and Gardens; http://www.dixon.org/.
