Hao Nguyen's Obituary
Hao Nguyen passed away at the age of 74 on Saturday, February 11, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hung Yen, Vietnam on May 2, 1942 and emigrated to the United States in April of 1975, settling in Memphis, Tennessee, where she worked for 23 years as an EKG Technician at Baptist Hospital. Hao is survived by her husband of 49 years, Hy Van, and their 4 children, Thao Nguyen-Shang (Shawn) of Windermere, Florida, MiMi Nguyen-Havens (Kevin) of Cordova, Tennessee, Langhi Nguyen-Giep (Hoang) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Thi Nguyen (Michelle) of Fullerton, California, a sister, Duyen (Wendell) Johnson, and a brother My-Kim (Oanh) Nguyen. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, Lauren Shang, Max Havens, Anderson Giep, Brooklynn Giep, Beckham Giep, Sydney Nguyen and Charlotte Nguyen. A prayer service will be held 2-4 p.m. and visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, February 17; visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, February 18 with the funeral service and internment to immediately follow, all at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
