Gwendolyn Sue Etter's Obituary
Gwendolyn Sue Etter passed away after fighting breast cancer on September 22, 2022 at Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, Tennessee. She was born on July 20, 1959 in Knoxville, Tennessee as the daughter of Eugene and Wanda Rogers.
Gwen was married to Larry James Etter on January 12, 1991. They settled in Collierville, Tn. After living most of their lives in Cordova, Tn. They celebrated more than 31 years of marriage while raising two beautiful children Eric Evan Etter (29) and Taylor Elaine Etter (26).
Gwen began her professional career at the age of 18 as a model working in New York City and created a remarkable portfolio. She open her own boutique at age 20 and operate a retail store in Knoxville. She continued her career by working in clothing retail sales. Gwen also found it important to give back to community and served the local elementary school as a reader for small children and devoted Friday mornings to the Collierville Animal Shelter as a volunteer in the cat room. She was an avid promoter of healthy life styles and could be seen every day walking 2 miles through the neighborhood.
A memorial service will held on October 14, 2022 while receiving of friends will be at Memorial Park Cemetery and Funeral Home in Memphis, Tennessee, 2:30pm with the burial following immediately.
