Gregory "Greg" Snow's Obituary
Mr. Gregory Lane Snow was born August 31, 1962 to Mr. John Edward Snow and the late Sandra Ann Varner Snow, in Memphis, TN. Greg departed his earthly life on September 20, 2016, in Richmond Virginia, he was 54 years old. Greg grew up in Memphis, TN and was an accomplished student athlete participating in many various sports during his youth. Greg attended Woodale High School in Memphis, TN, class of 1981. In 1982, Greg enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was assigned to various duty stations in the United States. In 1983 while stationed in Hawaii, Greg met the love of his life, Debra Jane Wilkinson of Thousand Oaks, CA. Upon being reassigned from Hawaii, Greg and Debra lost contact with each other. Greg and Debra were reunited in 2015 and rekindled a 32 year loving, caring, relationship. They were engaged to be married. Greg also leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Jenna Lane Snow of San Diego, CA. His father, John Edward Snow of Richmond, VA, (Melinda); one brother, Stephen Kirk Snow (Rita Snow), of Richmond, VA; one sister, Angela Jane Snow Allen (Mike) of Collierville, TN; one nephew, Ashton Barrett Allen, of Collierville, TN, who recently enlisted in the US Marines, and two nieces, Hallie Ann Allen, of Collierville, TN and Laney Adelle Allen, of Collierville, TN. Greg also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends to cherish his memory. Greg was known by all for his tender, caring, kind, loving heart. Greg was the owner of Snowworks, a professional, painting organization in Richmond, VA. Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Freda Snow, of Memphis, TN, Lemuel and Esther Varner of Oxford, MS, and his mother Sandra Ann Varner Snow, of Memphis, TN. Greg and his infectious smile will be missed dearly by all that knew him. A kinder soul this earth has never known. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until his service begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 28 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Richmond, VA.
