Gregory L. Collins' Obituary
Gregory Lee Collins, 60, passed away peacefully on St. Andrews Day, November 30, 2013, following a brief illness. Greg was born in Dallas Texas on May 27, 1953, and attended Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Memphis Tn. Greg came to live with his family in Memphis shortly after his illness was diagnosed. The son of Earl “Rip” Collins and Cherie J. Collins Heiberg. Greg was reared by his loving mother and dear step father Lloyd “Bud” Heiberg. Greg had his dream job on the railroad early in life, living in Montana before he got his Degree in Photo Journalism from Rochester Institute of Technology. He moved to Dallas to pursue a career in photography and eventually ended up as a leader in his industry in Medical Equipment sales. Greg leaves behind his brother and sister, Clay Heiberg and Kellie Allen, step brothers’ Rick and Jeff Heiberg, nieces Anna, Haley, and Cherie Heiberg. Greg was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, Step Father and Grandparents.
