Greg Mangrum's Obituary
Greg Mangrum, 68, passed peacefully at home on March 5, 2026. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 13 to the late William and Marjorie Mangrum.
A 1975 graduate of Overton High School, Greg began his career at FedEx in the company’s early days at the Memphis hub. Over a 45-year career he held various positions while continuing his education in computer science, spending the last 25 years in the IT department before retiring in 2020. Greg loved working with computers and had a lifelong curiosity for technology. He also enjoyed golf, craft beer, and travel, and treasured time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cassie Mangrum; five daughters, Trisha (James) Wolfe, Carrie (Greg) Mangrum, Krista (David) Moore, Halie (Justin) Hoback, and Hannah (Brandon) Henson; ten grandchildren, Taylor, Jackie, Madison, Allen, Ellie‑Kate, Tyler, Clara, Collier, Amber, and Cohen (due in June); two sisters, Angie Webb and Alice (Bob) Zane; and three nephews, Tres Webb, Taylor Webb, and Josh Zane. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marjorie Mangrum.
A Celebration of Life will be held March 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., with a small service to follow at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to MERI (https://meri.org) in memory of William Mangrum.
