Grace Hickey's Obituary
Mrs. Grace Miller Hickey (Gracie) passed away in Atlanta, Georgia on December 21, 2016. She was born in Brighton, TN on August 28th, 1927. Her family moved to Memphis when she was a young girl and she resided in Memphis for many years. More recently, she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Atlanta since October, 2015. Mrs. Hickey was a member of Christ Methodist Church and also a member of the Red Hat Divas of Memphis. Gracie was a dedicated Christian and known for her very kind ways and her love for all people and she especially loved her family. Everyone that had the special privilege to know her, loved her. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Mr. William H. Hickey who passed away in 2011. She is survived by two daughters, Grace Stredwick, John Stredwick (son-in-law) of Boca Raton, Florida and Judith Boich, Marko Boich (son-in-law) of Atlanta, Georgia; Five Grandchildren, Forest Huggins, Jesse Huggins, William Nathan Huggins, Kelly Linkous Cole and Kathy Linkous Willard. Six Great Grandchildren: Spencer Smith, Mackensey Smith, Henry Smith and Ashley Smith, William Nathaniel Huggins Jr and Matthew Christian Huggins. She is also survived by her sister Becky Beard of Memphis and many beloved nieces and nephews and Gene and Betty Hickey, Brother in law and Sister in Law of Southaven, MS. Our family misses her greatly, but we take comfort knowing that she has gone on to be with our Lord and we are comforted she is with our loving Dad and her sweet husband “Bill” once again.Funeral Services are being held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar in Memphis on Friday, January 6th at 10:00 am, visitation at 9:00 am, prior to funeral services.
