Glynn G. Raby, Jr. passed on June 23, 2023, at the age of 98. After graduating from Tech High School in 1942, Glynn enlisted in the United States Army as the country prepared to join the fighting of World War II. He was assigned Read Obituary
Glynn became a dear friend as I began a blog of my Uncle Charlie's letters he wrote during the War. Glynn's Infantry was supported by my uncle's Artillery Battalion.
Glynn and I shared many memories through my uncle's letters.
I will never forget him nor his two daughters who he shared about with great pride.
My prayers are thoughts will continue for the whole family.

I WAS PROUD TO KNOW GLYNN AS A MANCHU WE HAD MANY VISITS ON THE PHONE TOGETHER AND I ENJOYED HEARING THE MANY EXPLOITS HE HAD AS A MANCHU I WILL MISS HIM AND WHEN WE WERE DONE TALKING HE ALWAYS SIGNED OFF KUFT { KEEP UP THE FIRE} RIP
Glynn and I met when the friends and family of the 2nd infantry had a yahoo group. Through him I learned more about what my birth father went through and more history of WWII. I thank him for those memories. May God be with his family and friends.
