Gloria Devisfruto's Obituary
Gloria Devisfruto, 81, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2014 in Savannah, Georgia. She was born on September 2, 1933, and grew up in Koscuisko, Mississippi. She was greatly loved by her family, extended family, and many friends. Gloria enjoyed music, singing, and spoiling her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. She was a giving and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated and hard working person who retired from Memphis Light, Gas, and Water and went onto work for International Paper, and eventually retiring from FedEx. Gloria loved nature, animals, gardening, and learning to sew.She is preceded in passing by her husband, Jose A. Devisfruto, parents, Sheldon and Lois Overstreet, and beloved brothers Paul and Kelsey Overstreet and sister Marion Ganac. She is survived by her 6 children, Angie Ryan, June Devisfruto (David Sywalski), Dan Devisfruto (Lisa Devisfruto), Joy Elder (Anthony Elder), Joseph Devisfruto, and Mark Devisfruto (Ann Devisfruto), her brother Charles Overstreet (Polly Overstreet),12 grandchildren: Anna Stack (Clay Stack), David Adam, Jeff Devisfruto (Katie Devisfruto), Dylan Devisfruto, Danielle Devisfruto, Kristie Faulk (Robert Faulk), Joe Devisfruto (Kimberly Devisfruto), Heather Pleasant (Kenny Pleasant), Abby Devisfruto, Grace Devisfruto, Shawn Devisfruto, and Blake Devisfruto., 9 great- grandchildren: Sophia Stack, Ryan Stack, Nolan Stack, Cannon Devisfruto, Samantha May, Jacob May, Sky Devisfruto, Abby Devisfruto, and Eli Devisfruto.The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the service begins at 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 15 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
