Dear Palo family…our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I was truly blessed to have worked with Giles and he was a great mentor to me as I came up in this crazy business called “student housing”. I have wonderful memories of Giles when he visited my communities or later when we worked together as Regionals. I always enjoyed our breakfast club meetings after he was retired and we talked about the family, sports and of course a little bit of politics and how the government seems to enjoy taking our money. It was great having Giles chuckle, as normally I would say or do something that was probably not politically correct, but he would get that chuckle going which warmed my heart.
