Gertrud Minna Beyer's Obituary
Gertrud Minna Beyer of Memphis, TN passed away December 31, 2022 in her home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL with her son Erik, daughter-in-law Tracy, and grandson Ben by her side.
Gertrud was born on November 23, 1935, in Hamburg, Germany. She met her husband Glen in Huntsville, AL and was married April 14, 1967. Gertrud was a devout Lutheran and member of Christ the King Lutheran Church Memphis for over 40 years. “Trudy” enjoyed traveling the world and hosting many Coffee klatches and dinners for her friends in her home. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and doggie.
Surviving are her daughter Patrea (Shawn) Burke of Cocoa Beach, FL her son Erik (Tracy) Beyer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and beloved grandchildren Maria, Julia, Isabella, George, and Ben and great granddaughter Giavanna.
Gertrud was reunited in heaven with her dear husband Glen, brother Hans Dieter Wittler and doggie Allie.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN, 38119, from noon to 1pm with a service following at 1pm conducted by Pastor Mark Goble.
Trudy’s wishes were that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119
