Geraldine Campbell Malone's Obituary
Geraldine C. Malone, 96, a long-time resident of Germantown, TN passed peacefully in her sleep on August 4, 2022 in Charlotte, NC and entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Of the many qualities she embodied, her steadfast faithfulness to her Lord was strongest. This faithfulness shaped every aspect of her life and motivated her boundless love and generosity to others. Always empathetic, she had a heart for single mothers. Time and time again, she opened her life and home to them, providing a safe, nurturing place of solace and comfort. Her drive to ministry was never ceasing. She was quick to tell anyone around her (family, friend, or stranger) about Jesus. She was a faithful supporter of the Church, Child Evangelism Fellowship, The Gideons International, Samaritan’s Purse, as well as the Tlapeneco Indian Ministry. Her life's passion and purpose was to spread the love of Christ to those who had not yet experienced His grace.
Throughout her life, Ms. Malone was also an enterprising business woman. She attended Draughons Business College in 1947, acquiring skills she would later put to work during her employment with the Carnation Company. Later in life, Ms. Malone worked in real estate while also managing a portfolio of properties and investments.
Ms. Malone, the widow and loving and faithful wife of Jack Reed Malone, Sr. for 49 years, is survived by her son, Jack R. Malone Jr. of Cordova; a sister, Eva Horton of Herculaneum, MO; and two grandchildren, Aneatra Gillis of Charlotte, NC and Thomas Malone of Germantown, TN. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Austin Gillis of Denver, CO, Caleb and Campbell Gillis of Charlotte, NC, and Jack and Johnny Malone of Memphis, TN.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to Gideons International.
