Rev. Gerald P Morrow's Obituary
Reverand Gerald Paul Morrow, age 87, was born on February 24th, 1938, of Memphis, TN and passed away on February 10th, 2026. Gerald was the son of Paul and Oneda Morrow and was survived by his brothers, James Larry Morrow (Nancy) and John Russel “Rusty” Morrow (Melissa) and sister, Rita Morrow Jones (Carey). He had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews but shared a special bond with his nephew, Steven Jones, who was faithful to care for the family throughout his life. Gerald attended Treadwell High School, Union University, and Memphis State University where he earned a degree in Music Education. Gerald began his ministry at the age of 17 and continued to serve as a music minister, voice teacher and ordained minister in many Baptist churches over the span of 50 years. In addition to his service in the US Air Force, Gerald dedicated his life to serving God as a devout Christian who shared the gospel with everyone he met. He shared his love for decorating as a frame crafter, wedding decorator and interior designer. He blessed many people by officiating weddings and singing in the church choir and he enjoyed building and working in the yard. Gerald served his purpose in life to the fullest to love God, love people and shine the love of Jesus to everyone who knew him. Rev. Gerald has joined the most beautiful and joyous choir in heaven where he will continue to praise God eternally.
