James Cohen
Gerald Billions was my dear friend for over 55 years. We practiced dentistry as partners together for over 30 years. We served together in the US Army Reserve Component for over 35 years and worked together training reservists in this country at many army posts, and out of the country in places as far away as Egypt, Germany and Central America.
We planned and conducted many activities from clinical to field training and to operational activities. We wrote SOPs and hosted the Air War College in our office for two years.
We had endless discussions from politics to religion to literature to music. Jerry was always so happy to brag to others how long we had been together and that we had never, even once, had an argument. This was true.
Gerald will be missed by many and his memory will never be forgotten by those who knew him. Especially by me. Gerald lived by the words of Micah, “What does God require of us? To do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Jerry, I love you and your memory will never leave my heart.
Dr. (Colonel, US Army, Retired) James Cohen
