George Vandeventer's Obituary
George N. Vandeventer, Jr. 75, of Booneville, MS, formerly of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born on November 27, 1938 and was a graduate of Southside High School. He was an Air Force veteran serving in Korea. George retired from McDonald Brothers in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda and a son, Mark. He is survived by a daughter Pam; a grandson, Charlie; a brother, Michael A. Smith of Manila, AR, 2 nephews, Michael E. Smith of Manila and David S. Smith of Lapanto, AR; 2 great nephews and 1 great niece. He also leaves a close friend, Jamie Haynes of Booneville, MS. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. with a graveside service to follow all at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
