George Z. Turner, Jr.'s Obituary
George Z. Turner, Jr., 86, passed away March 15, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sara Poston; daughter, Pamela Payne; son, David Turner; granddaughter, Erika Payne, sister Frankie Turner (who passed March 16); brother, Milton Turner; and sister-in-law, Mary Howell. George was preceded in death by his sister, Nena Lester; brother, Arthur “Buck” Turner. He was retired from Southern Surgical Supply Co. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed listening to music. George was a loving husband and father. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 21 at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
