George Monroe “Poppy” Kellett, 79, lifelong resident of Arlington, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Ann Kellett; children, Louise Kellett Goodwin (Bill), Georgia Ann Ellis (Jerry), and Walter “Wally” B. Kellett (Tracey); grandchildren, Ross Goodwin (Krystina), Christopher Goodwin (Anna), Blake Goodwin (Erin), Jeremy Ellis (Ginger), Jacob Ellis, Jeri Nicole Ellis, Kirby Kellett, Cameron Kellett, and Abigail Kellett; and great-grandchildren, Aidan Goodwin, GraceAnne Goodwin, Julie Ann Goodwin, Logan Goodwin, and Jackson Hugh Rosson. He was an U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Royal Furniture and the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was a Mason and member of Arlington Lodge 641. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. and funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 28 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Heart Association.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
