George E. Parrish's Obituary
George Edward Parrish died peacefully at home on February 13th, 2020 in Memphis, TN at the age of 75. George was born was born on April 20, 1944 in Chattanooga, TN to James and Imojean Parrish.
George is survived by his children, Mark Parrish of Cedar Hill, TX, Jo Ann Ward of Trophy Club, TX, and Kelly Little of Marion, NC; two brothers, Clifton Parrish of Horn Lake, MS, Charles Parrish of Springfield, MO, two sisters, Evelyn Cleveland of Byhalia, MS, and Karen Ryan of Hemphill, Tx; four grandchildren, Katie, Jack, Nicholas, and Josh. He is preceded in death by his wives, Sang Bun Parrish, Ann Parrish, and Donna Parrish.
George served in the US Army from February 6, 1962 to December 6, 1968. He served two tours in Korea with distinction and honor. He also continued to serve for ten years in the Tennessee National Guard. George also had a successful career in the U.S. Postal Service.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Daniel Hammond will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate George's life.
