George Lochridge's Obituary
George Lochridge passed away on July 16, 2010 in Orlando, FL. He was born in Pine Bluff, AR on February 24, 1915. Preceded in death by his loving wife Lena Lochridge. Survived by his brother, Victor Richardson and sister, Amy Volgamor of Houston,Texas. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dana Caldwell (Don) and Nancy Morrow (Larry. Grandchildren are Justin Hess (Joann), Cheyenne Hess (Sunday) Dana Clare Hall (Kevin), Brian Gentry (Mary Lynn) and five great-grandchildren. Lena’s family was George’s family. Her brothers and sisters are, Bill Helm (Martha), Mamie Gates (Carl), Evelyn Byrd (James), and Alvin Helm (Charlene). Thanks to daughter Dana and grandson, Cheyenne who have been caregivers to George and Lena. George lived a long and full life. He worked for Eastern Airlines from 1937-1979 as a mechanic, supervisor, and planner. He served as an Elder for Central Church of Christ in Miami, FL for many years. George, Lena, Dana and Nancy lived in Memphis,TN, Miami,FL, Baltimore,MD, and Anaheim,CA. George enjoyed growing vegetables and tropical plants. He liked to make repairs and teach others. He was active until a month before he passed away.
