George Leem's Obituary
George Edward Leem, 77, of Memphis, TN passed away at his home August 4, 2017 after a long illness. He was an Orthodox Christian and served in the altar of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church for many years. He was a Viet Nam Veteran having entered the Air Force in 1960. A long time resident of Memphis, George is fondly remembered by his his first cousins Danny Leem, Tom Kocoras, George Karnazes, Connie Tiliakos, and their families, as well as, friends and neighbors. He was a loving and caring person, often giving a helping hand to those in need. George is survived by his daughter, Samantha Leem. He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Quida Leem and brother Harry Leem. He will be remembered by his sister-in-law, Shirley Leem, two nieces, Kelly Siler and Kristine Sarsons, a nephew, Kent Leem and other second cousins.A funeral service in memory of George will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, located 573 North Highland, Memphis, TN at 10:00 on August 17, 2017. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee. Those, who so desire, may make memorial donations in memory of George E. Leem to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
