George Garrison's Obituary
George Garrison, 66, passed away January 6, 2014. He was born May 18, 1947 in Hollins, VA to Margaret Morton and George Garrison, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He was an affiliate broker with Crye-Leike, an independent travel agent with Global Travel International, and a sales consultant with Gossett Motor Cars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Garrison; sisters, Margaret Garrison and Gloria Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Roots (Christopher); grandson, Wayne Lightfoot, III; sisters, Barbara Garrison, Norma Reeves (Charles), and Diane Watkins; and brothers, Tyronne Garrison (Frances), Robert Morton (Selena), and Jimmy Coles (Carolyn).Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday, January 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church – Hollins, 8613 Reservoir Road, Roanoke, VA 24019.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”
