George Paul Everitt, Jr.'s Obituary
George Paul Everitt, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. He graduated from Whitehaven High School and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Vice President and Realtor of E.R. Richmond Company for 30 years. He was a homebuilder and partner of Everitt Construction Company with his son Dennis, for 28 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George P. Everitt, Sr.; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Everitt McCormick. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Zinn Everitt; three sons, Zinn Everitt (Sherry), Dennis Everitt (Patty), Gordon Allen Everitt; daughter, Paula Everitt-Murrell (Michael); seven grandchildren, Azure, Tricia, DeeDee, Dennis Paul, and Alexander Everitt, Houston and Trevor Wickham; all of Memphis, and four great-grandchildren, Sydney, Scott, Jewel, and Hope. He was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Church and was a deeply devout Christian, who loved the Lord. He was so proud of the fact that he had read the entire Bible several times. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel with his wife. He was the leader of his family, admired, loved, and respected by all that knew him.
