George Edward Rogers' Obituary
George Edward Rogers III (Ed), 48, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at his home. Ed was a generous, caring spirit whose love for family and pets was paramount. A native Memphian, Ed attended Briarcrest and graduated from Elliston. He was a skilled electrical journeyman by trade and a member of the IBEW. Ed is preceded in death by his father, George Edward Rogers Jr. He leaves behind his mother, Barbara Wright Rogers, and two sisters, Barbara R. Michael (Jeff) and Julie R. Szurpicki (Brian). He also leaves four nieces Anna, Sara, Brianna and Brooke.Services will be held at Memorial Park on Thursday, May 25; visitation at noon with a graveside service to follow at 1 p.m. Memorials can be sent to the Memphis Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. “Celebrating Life….Behind the Stone Wall.”
