(Benji) Bruce; sister, Mary Alice Haire; brother, James R. Bruce; nephews, H. Earle Haire, III and Fred A. Kyzer. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanine Bruce; daughter, Susan J. Mr. Bruce was an army veteran of the Korean wars. He retired as Sales Manager from Kentile Flooring with many fond memories of his business relationships with distributors in TN, AR, MS, and AL. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, growing orchids with his son, Benji, and entertaining family and friends with his outdoor grilling and stories of many travel experiences. After the loss of his son at a young age, he made special efforts to comfort and support others who also suffered the loss of a child. During his long illness, reading, phone calls and support from family, neighbors and friends and his dog, Buddy, brought him great comfort and companionship. He also took comfort in the knowledge he would be reunited with his son. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30pm with Services following at 1:30pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, June 27, the 25th anniversary of his son’s funeral. Family requests any memorials be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or their favorite charity.
